"I am committed to building a city that is sustainable, inclusive, affordable, safe and vibrant."
– Shanon Zachidniak
Dear Neighbours,
Many of the decisions that most impact our daily lives occur at the municipal-level. As a passionate community builder focused on improving the lives of Regina residents, it would be my honour to serve on city council. With my leadership skills and experience, I can help create a city that we all feel proud to call home.
I live in the Rosemont neighbourhood with my husband, John, our sons Wylie and Ivan (ages 7 and 5) and our dog Penny.
My work has included senior roles with several community organizations, (including Wascana Solar Co-op, REACH and the Regina Farmers’ Market). I am also a published writer and former ESL teacher.
As a dedicated volunteer, I have served on the board of many community organizations, including Wascana Solar Co-op and Briarpatch magazine. I am the founder of Regina’s EnviroCollective and the co-founder of Food Regina.
I have a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor’s in Journalism.
During these uncertain times, we need strong local leadership now more than ever. I am committed to building a city that is sustainable, inclusive, affordable, safe and vibrant.
I am honoured to serve as your voice for Ward 8 on Regina City Council.
Sincerely,
Shanon Zachidniak
